Kimbolton Country Fair, Kimbolton Castle
Yvonne Peace from Kisdon Sculpture will be demonstrating wood sculpture throughout the day and a large number of her sculptures will be exhibited for sale. Entrance Fee family £16 Adult £6 OAP£3. Hot & cold refreshments and light lunches available. The Fayre is now in its 18th year! the aim is to raise money for different charities and in 2007 over £12,000 was raised for Cancer Research UK, Samuel Pepys School and other nominate charities, from the many thousands of visitors to the Fayre. The objects of the Fayre are to promote the countryside, country crafts and activities. It is a totally voluntary effort by the organisers whose aim is to provide an exciting and fun-packed day out for all the family whilst raising money for these good causes. The Country Fayre is in the magnificent parkland setting of Kimbolton Castle (by kind permission of Kimbolton School where Queen Catherine of Aragon, the wife of Henry VIII, was confined until her death in 1536.
